There seems to be a lot more "hype" circling this year's election than there has been in previous years. It could just be me, as I'm taking notice for my first time (really). There's a lot more "buzz" about it online, not to mention the conversations I hear throughout my everyday wanderings. But really, there is a lot of hype around this one.
I've always been one to stay out of politics, but over the past year something has bubbled within me. Calling me, whispering constantly that this election is too important to ignore. This is the election where, 50 years from now, I want to be able to tell my grandchildren that I
did participate. That I
did cast a vote.
I don't want to be a part of a generation that had a chance to change things, but chose not to. I want this generation to be able to say, "Yes, we accepted what we had to do, and we did it".
So I registered to vote (for my first time ever), and will be going to the polls (in person). I have accepted what I have to do, and am willing to do it.
